New logging infrastucture

FRENDS Iron 3.3 has new logging infrastructure built on top of Windows Azure Service Bus or Service Bus for Windows Server 1.1 for local installations. It provides a unified way for publishing log messages of any size from FRENDS processes and custom components, and processing the log messages according to your needs. FRENDS Iron 3.3 comes with a simple solution to store all logged messages to an Azure storage account for later analysis.

Support for non-WF tasks

In FRENDS Iron 3.3, you can create tasks also as Plain Old CLR Objects (POCO) in addition to Windows Workflow Foundation 3.5 workflows. The new POCO tasks are much simpler and more performant than workflow tasks.

FRENDS Cobalt 2.0 and FRENDS Radon 2.1

FRENDS Cobalt and FRENDS Radon have been updated to POCO tasks using .NET 4.0 for increased performance.

FRENDS Cobalt 2.0 also now utilizes the new logging infrastructure to log all details of transferred files. This information is now shown in the improved transfers view in the FRENDS Iron web user interface.

Certified for Windows Server 2012

FRENDS Iron 3.3 has been certified for Windows Server 2012. The gold level certification guarantees that FRENDS Iron 3.3 can operated on any Windows Server 2012 configuration.

FRENDS Iron 3.3 is now built on .NET Framework 4.0 in order to support also older environments, where .NET 4.5 or newer frameworks are not installed.
